KARACHI: Hakim Said remembered

KARACHI, Oct 18: Sindh Ombudsman and Chairman Shura Hamdard Pakistan, Karachi Chapter, Justice (r) Haziq-ul-Khairi paid tribute to late Hakim Mohammad Said, saying that he was a genius who rendered great services to the fields of Tibb, health, education, literature and social welfare.

He was speaking at a memorial meeting on the fourth anniversary of Hakim Said’s death on Thursday at Madinat-ul-Hikmat.

Praising Hakim Said’s continued efforts and labour, Khairi said that the late Hakim served the nation with dedication and devotion, establishing educational institutions, fora for education and the training of children, besides the renowned Hamdard Dawakhana.

Earlier, President of the Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Sadia Rashid, advised the participating children to do noble deeds, work hard and serve the nation wholeheartedly, as said by the late Hakim Said.

Administrator Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village, Hafiz Pervez Ahmed also paid homage to Hakim Said.

Managing Director Hamdard Laboratories, Dr Navaid-ul-Zafar, granddaughter of Hakim Said, Fatimatul Zahra and a large number of students, teachers and journalists attended the memorial meeting. Students of Hamdard Public School and Hamdard Village also paid tribute to Hakim Said in their speeches and poems.—PPI
