KARACHI, Oct 16: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, on Wednesday announced the results of HSC Science (pre- medical) part-I annual examinations 2002.

According to BIE statistics, 10,041 took the examinations, including 7,813 girls.

The breakdown of candidates who passed different papers is as follows: six papers - 4,399; five papers - 1,970; four papers - 1,223; three papers - 1,206; two papers - 802 and one paper - 339.

In all, 10,208 students from 126 colleges and higher secondary schools were registered for the examinations. Results of 11 candidates were withheld either on account of unfair means or for want of complete information.

The Board would start delivering the mark sheets from Oct 17. According to controller of examinations Prof Amjad Ali, the results of pre-engineering (part-I) would be released on Saturday or Monday.
