UK team meets minister

PESHAWAR, Oct 15: The visiting 13-member study group of the Royal College of Defence Studies, UK, led by Air Vice Marshall S. Goddard, called on the NWFP Minister for Finance Planning and Development, Farid Rehman, in Peshawar on Tuesday.

Speaking on this occasion, Farid Rehman highlighted the geo-political importance of this province with special reference to its historical perspective.

In this connection he specially mentioned the presence of a more than two million Afghan refugees in this area during the last about two decades.—APP
