DERA GHAZI KHAN, Oct 8: Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) chief Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan sought votes for the PML-N candidate at a public meeting on Tuesday.

Muhammad Khan Leghari is contesting election in NA-172 as an independent candidate and Saifuddin Khan Khosa of the PML-N in provincial constituency PP-244.

The PPP workers did not attend the meeting as Saifuddin Khosa of the PML-N is contesting election against PPP’s Alim Khan Khetran in PP-244.

Meanwhile, the Nawabzada said he had a vast experience of political struggle against dictatorships.

He said: “We would not let Gen Musharraf rig the election.”

He warned the military regime that if tried to rig the election, the ARD would join hands with the MMA in agitation against it.

He urged the regime to hold general election impartially and refrain from repeating the drama like referendum.
