SUKKUR, Oct 8: An 18-year old youth was kidnapped while an eight year old boy was strangulated in different parts of Jacobabad district on Monday.

Rasool Bukhsh Solangi, 18,, was kidnapped by three armed bandits from Chakerabad village near Kandhkot.

Solangi, with Ghulam Rasool Bhangwar and another friend, was coming to his village on a motorcycle when three armed persons intercepted and kidnapped them.

At some distance, they released two of them and fled with Solangi towards Balochistan.

In the other incident, some unidentified persons strangulated Dilber Khan, 8, son of Mohammad Ibrahim, and threw his body in Garhi Sadhayo drain.

Ibrahim, who is a cattle trader, told the police that his son was missing since Sunday afternoon. He searched the boy in Jacobabad city throughout the night. He also informed the police about the missing of his son.

On Monday morning, the body of the boy was recovered from a sewage drain near the city graveyard. There were torture marks on the body.

The police suspected that the boy was molested before being strangulated.

The father of the victim told the police that he had no enmity with anyone.

No arrest was reported till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, a villager was injured when he offered resistance to bandits in a village of Daharki area on Monday.

Later, the villagers caught hold of the two bandits, who had a Kalashnikov and a rifle, and handed them over to the police.

Three armed bandits entered into the house of Jaro Daher. When the inmates of the house resisted, the dacoits opened fire as a result Allah Bux Daher was seriously injured. He was, later, shifted to a Daharki hospital.

After the outlaws fled from the scene, the villagers chased them and caught hold of two of them, identified as Moro Sadho and Abdul Qadir, with their weapons, and handed them over to the police.

CLASH: Five persons were injured in an armed clash between the Ramejo and Kori clansmen in Bagarji village, Sukkur district.

A public meeting of Abdul Qadir Ghumro, an election candidate from NA-198, was in progress when the clash took place.

The election meeting was disturbed due to the exchange of firing

The names of those injured could not be ascertained.

The cause of the clash is said to be an enmity between the two groups.

A girl of Ramejo clan had married with a man of Kori clan, which had created an enmity between the two communities.
