PESHAWAR, Oct 4: The Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) has said that it is imperative to introduce co-education in all government institutions to facilitate the female students to receive higher education, as it is the requirement of the 21st century.

Speaking at a meeting of the PkSF at Bacha Khan Markaz here on Friday, its central president, Sardar Ahmed Yusufzai, expressed concern over the increasing lawlessness in colleges and universities, and demanded of the government to stamp out terrorist elements from the educational institutions. “We have been saying all along that a modern approach need to be adopted as regards to the education system.”

Yusufzai also called for secular system in the country, saying it was essential for the progress and prosperity of the people at large.

He said all the developed countries had evolved an education system where everyone was provided with opportunities to prosper.

The PkSF, he said, was always in the forefront of the struggle for eliminating terrorism from society.

The meeting was also attended by PkSF leaders Shiraz Nangial, Gul Nawaz Khan Mohmand and Hafiz Kakar.
