BUSAN, Oct 3: Pakistan thrashed Malaysia 3-0 in the third place playoff to win a bronze in the snooker team event of the Asian Games Wednesday.

Pakistan’s Abid Ali lost to Talaibek Kadyraliev of Kyrgyzstan 25-11 in the 54kg boxing competition.

In the 4x100m freestyle relay women’s swimming contest, Pakistan’s Kiran Khan, Mahira Karim, Ayesha Tajwar, Sana Abdul Wahid finished seventh with a time of 4:40.84.

In the tennis competition, Thailand scored a 2-1 second round victory over Pakistan.

Pakistani marksmen Mustaqeem Shah, Zahid Ali, Irshad Ali accumalted 1678 points to finish 11th in the 10metre Air Pistol team event.

In rowing’s double sculls event, Pakistani pair of Javed Azmat, Majeed Butt clocked 8:27.94 to settle at sixth place.
