By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Sept 26: A group of Al Qaeda suspects arrested from different parts of the NWFP was shifted to Rawalpindi on Wednesday evening amid high security, an official source said.

The source said a police team, headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karachi, shifted the 20 Al Qaeda suspects to Rawalpindi from Haripur jail in a prison van.

He said all the suspects were to be shifted to Karachi. However, it was not known immediately whether the arrested persons would be handed over to the US authorities.
