Four die in ’copter crash near Mumbai

MUMBAI, Sept 22: At least four people were killed on Sunday when a private helicopter hired by a top Indian business group crashed near Mumbai.

Police here said three of the victims were “foreigners”, but added they did not have details of the nationalities of those killed or the total number of people involved in the crash.

Maharashtra junior home minister Kripashankar Singh said the pilot of the privately-owned aircraft also died in the crash near the hill resort of Lonavilla, some 120 kilometres from Mumbai.—AFP
