“If any solution of the issue such as conversion of the Line of Control into permanent India-Pakistan border is imposed, we will fight it tooth and nail, even if it escalates tension in the region and elsewhere,” warned JKLF Chairman Amanullah Khan in a letter to the US President, George Bush, copies of which have also been dispatched to President Pervez Musharraf and Indian premier Atal Behari Vajpayee.

“Peace obtained at the cost of justice fully deserves full thrashing by its victims,” Mr Khan, a longtime advocate of independent Kashmir, said in the letter, according to a statement issued to press on Sunday.
