Complaints against officers

BAHAWALPUR, Sept 6: The Punjab accountant-general on Thursday ordered immediate transfer of the accounts officer and a superintendent.

AG Wazir Qureshi received a number of complaints by the officials of government departments and pensioners against the officials and district account officers of the local district accounts office in an open kutchery.

Those transferred are accounts officer Ashraf Azad and superintendent Hasan Mahmood.

The AG also banned the entry of PHED official Abdul Rauf with the instruction that touts should not be allowed in the office.

The AG directed to computerize the entire record of GP fund of retired government employees. He warned that ill-behaved employees would be taken to task.
