PESHAWAR, Sept 1: The Leader for Environment and Development (Lead) Pakistan would hold a three-day workshop on “Defining Sustainable Development Indicators” here at a local hotel beginning from Tuesday (Sept 3), to equip the participants with skills and tools to design, implement and monitor development projects.

Lead (Pakistan) believes that numerous development projects, especially in developing countries like Pakistan, are doomed to failure due to lack of incorporation of sustainability in the project design at the planning stage.

The workshop would benefit national and international organizations involved in planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring development projects and programmes.

The participants will be exposed to some real life case studies from various development projects, where inclusion or exclusion of one or the other dimension of sustainability had a bearing on the project results.

This event is an initiative of Lead Pakistan’s Management Development Programme.—APP
