PESHAWAR: Murderers’ arrest urged

Published September 1, 2002

PESHAWAR, Aug 31: The family members of late Malik Attaullah, chairman Alkhair Haqooqul Ibad, have appealed to the NWFP governor to arrest his killers and provide them justice.

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Saturday, Bilal Ahmad, son of Attaullah, said his father was killed two months back but the police had failed to arrest the culprits. He said the accused were pressuring the Akkora Khattak police to close the case and the police station had put the names of the accused - Jan Mohammad and Khalil Abbas - in column-2 of the FIR to make the report ineffective.—Bureau
