RAWALPINDI, Aug 30: Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mian Mohammad Shafi, on Friday acquitted a person, accused of killing his friend, due to non-availability of proof against him.

According to Chauntra police, the accused, Tariq Wahid, had allegedly planned the killing of his friend, Maqboolur Rehman, who was a taxi-driver.

The police on recovering the body of the deceased, which was thrown in the fields after the murder, booked the accused for his speculative behaviour at the funeral procession of his friend.

The family of the deceased was also skeptical about the character of the accused and proceeded for a trial against him but failed to produce any evidence in the court.

Civil Judge, Hidayatullah Shah, remanded an alleged murderer to jail. According to Peer Whadai police the accused, Syed Abid had allegedly killed a person.

The same court also send two alleged robbers, Mohammad Abid and Mohammad Pervez, on two-day physical remand.

The court also issued the non-bailable warrant of arrest to an accused in a murder case. The accused, Mohammad Arif alias Sher Khan had allegedly killed a person in the jurisdiction of Ganjmandi Police Station.
