Two killed in shootout
MARDAN, Aug 25: Two people were killed here on Saturday in an exchange of fire between two groups at the Tehsil Complex in Takhtbai. They had gone to the local court to submit nomination papers for their candidates.
Imrad Ali shot dead a supporter of Nasim Khan, son of a Muslim League leader Fida Mohammed Khan and candidate for NA-10. The dead was identified as Lal Bahader.
In retaliation, Nasim’s group fired on the opponents killing Imrad Ali and injuring one of his supporters. Cause of the incident was stated to be a family feud.
