KARACHI, Aug 22: Muhammad Shafiq and Ammad Rafiq steered Zone-V Whites into the final of KCCA- Darul Adviat Trophy Inter-zonal Under-15 cricket championship when they beat Zone-VII Whites by four wickets after a exciting contest at KCCA Stadium Thursday.

Opener Shafiq made a sedate 63 with three boundaries and Ammad Rafiq sealed the victory with an unconquered 62 with two fours and as many sixes as Zone-VI Whites reached the victory target in the penultimate over.

Left arm slow bowler Faizan Ali was the pick of Zone-VII Whites bowlers taking three wickets for 81 runs in 17.2 overs.

Earlier off-spinner Sheraz Rafiq took four wickets for 63 runs in 20 overs and Zubaib Pasha and Omair Khan took the other four wickets to contain Zone-VII to 197 for nine in 50 overs.

Skipper Hassan Raza scored a patient 64 off 117 balls with two boundaries. Abdul Saad hit three boundaries in his 50. Hassan and Saad added 96 runs for the third wicket to help Zone-VII Whites reach close to 200 mark.

Zone-VII Whites will take on defending champion Zone-II Whites in the final at KCCA Stadium on Aug 27.
