NAB prosecutor appointed

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19: The government of Pakistan through a notification on Monday appointed Navid Rasul Mirza, advocate, as the prosecutor general accountability (PGA) in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

He has replaced Raja Mohammad Bashir, advocate, who had resigned from the office.

During his career as a lawyer, Mr Navid served as the additional advocate general, Punjab, on two occasions in 1993 and from November, 1996 to May, 1998.

He has also served as the deputy prosecutor general accountability at NAB Punjab from May 2000 to April 2001.
