By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 3: The Sindh governor has given a concession to hotels in regards to the Bed Tax (Capacity Tax) at the room occupancy rate by bringing it down to 40 per cent from July 2002 to December 2002.

The Pakistan Hotel Association (PHA) chief, Syed Arshad Ali, speaking at a press briefing, said that a PHA delegation had met Governor Mohammadmian Soomro, who after listening to their grievances, ordered the six-month concession for the hotel industry. The decision regarding the concession would be reviewed in January 2003.
