KARACHI, Aug 2: The City District Government (CDG) is holding a Jashn-i-Azadi Sports & Culture Festival throughout the month of August.

In this connection, the Community Development Department, which is the cultural and sports wing of the CDG, has planned to hold various sports events and cultural activities in various parts of the city.

According to the programme, the Jashn-i-Azadi Cricket Tournament will be organized at the Korangi Sports Complex, Jashn-i-Azadi Shooting Ball Tournament at the City Sports Complex Kashmir Road, Skating Show at the City Sports Complex, Special Children’s Jashn-i-Azadi Cultural & Sports Festival at the City Sports Complex Kashmir Road and Baradari.

The Jashn-i-Azadi Football Tournament will be held at the Peoples Sports Complex. A Quranic calligraphic exhibition, as well as a book fair at Al-Markaz-i-Islami and a Handicrafts Mela at the Women’s Sports Complex is also planned.—PPI
