ISLAMABAD, July 24: Master’s Cup table tennis tournament will be played Aug 12-15 at Sunset Club in Karachi, it was stated Wednesday.

The tournament will form the basis for selection of Pakistan team which will participate in the Asian Table Tennis Championship to be held in September this year at Seoul in South Korea.

Both departmental and regional outfits will contest the championship to be divided into individual and team events for both men and women.

The departmental outfits to be represented at the men’s events are: Allied Bank, Wapda, Habib Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan PWD while the regional teams will be from Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad.

The women’s teams to compete at the championship: Habib Bank, Wapda, ABL and Pakistan Army.
