Three SSP men held in Mailsi

VEHARI, July 24: Three activists of the banned Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) were arrested from various localities of Mailsi here on Wednesday.

A source said that on a tip-off, the Mailsi police raided Mouza Gujjar, Mouza Kikri Klan and Basti Joiya and arrested Ghulam Haider, Ghulam Hussain and Muhammad Shafi Arain. Police also recovered a huge quantity of weapons from their possession. The arrested men were shifted to some unknown place for interrogation.

The police have also arrested three terrorists involved in the church carnage in Bahawalpur on Oct 28, 2001, from various parts of Mailsi while hunt for three others are still on.
