Water scheme planned

MIRPURKHAS, July 18: To overcome the shortage of water in different localities of the town, the Mirpurkhas Municipal Committee has planned a water supply scheme near the Sindhri- Mirpurkhas Road, Mirpurkhas taluka.

This was disclosed by Mirpurkhas Taluka Naib Nazim Javed Ahmad Papa while speaking at a news conference here the other day.

He said the scheme, which would be fed by Mirpur Minor of Jamrao East, would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs12.5 million.

He said water reservoirs, with a capacity of ten million gallon water, would also be constructed.

The taluka Nazim said the municipal administration had planned the new water supply scheme keeping in view the complaints of shortage of water by people of Pak Colony, Ghosia Colony, Baloch Para, Ayub Nagar, Nawab Colony, Basheerabad and Sabzi Mandi.

EDO: The EDO, health, Dr Elahi Bux Soomro said some corrupt employees of the health department were creating hurdles in his work. He was talking to newsmen here on Thursday.
