ISLAMABAD, July 18: Four persons were killed in separate road accidents in the twin cities on Thursday, according to reports filed at various police stations.

Shah Zor, aged 4, was run over by a speeding car while crossing a road in the company of his mother in Aabpara area.

The boy was killed on the spot while his mother escaped unhurt. The unidentified car driver escaped.

Eight-year-old Naureen Akhtar died on the spot when hit by a speeding wagon (CG-0007) while crossing a road in Ganjmandi.

PPI ADDS: Mohammad Akbar was killed in a hit-and-run near Pirwadhai Bus Terminal. He too was crossing a road when hit by a speeding car (JA-8865). A passer-by took him to hospital where he breathed his last.

Abdul Majeed Khan was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a rashly-driven tractor (KT-7331). He died on the spot.
