ISLAMABAD, July 16: Umer Khattak, representing Hassan Memorial, scored a blazing 155 Tuesday in a 112-run rout of Classic as the Islamabad Cricket Association Under-19 championship got under way.

The match played at Shalimar Ground saw Umer strike 22 boundaries as he helped his side pile up 292 for eight off their 50 overs. Umer Saleem claimed three wickets for 43 runs while Zohaib took two.

Classic in reply were dismissed for 190 in 41 overs, Zohaib hitting a fine 80.

Siddique Akbar Club scored a three- wicket win over Faisal Club in a low scoring match of the Rawalpindi Cricket Association Summer League.

After bowling out Faisal for a paltry 88, Siddique Akbar found the chase not all that easy as they lost seven wickets in getting past their rivals’ total.
