Nazim irked by minister’s attitude

By Our Correspondent

BADIN, July 16: The district Nazim, Badin, Kamal Khan Chang, has regretted the attitude of the provincial local bodies minister against him. He said that he would not tolerate any insults and “un-parliamentary language” by the minister.

Talking to this correspondent over the telephone from Hyderabad, Mr Kamal said that he was being pressurized to vacate his office premises and his residence, which had been vacated.

He said that during the tour of the provincial minister to Badin recently, he was not present as he was on a week-long leave.

He said that he was not prepared to be a part of political activities with the minister.

He said that as Nazim he would perform his duties, however, he would not serve anyone as “kamdar”.

Mr Kamal said he reserved the right to protest against insulting remarks.

He alleged that a lobby of the establishment wanted to harm the new system. Mr Kamal is expected to hold a press conference within a day or two.
