Stray dogs injure five

GUJRANWALA, July 16: Six stray dogs attacked and injured five people in the district coordinating officer’s secretariat park here on Tuesday.

Around a dozen people were having morning walk in the park when stray dogs attacked them.

Union Council No 6 Nazim advocate Noor Muhammad Mirza, councillors Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Ms Salma Begum managed to escape. Railways special ticket examiner Naik Muhammad, a court official Imran Bila, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Sharif and Ghulam Fatima were bitten by dogs.

The Nazim and councillors informed the security guards of the DCO and the SSP who shot dead two dogs.

The condition of the injured was stated to be critical at the Civil Hospital.
