KARACHI: Changes slammed

KARACHI, July 13: The deputy chief of Jamat-i-Islami Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed said on Saturday that the induction of armymen in civilian departments would have a “negative impact on the future of the county”.

Talking to newsmen, he criticised the government for extending support to the US in its war against Afghanistan, and said it had tarnished the image of the armed forces.

He also criticised the government for amending the 1973 Constitution.—PPI
