HYDERABAD, July 11: A large number of the Jamaat-i-Islami women wing activists here on Thursday staged a march to express solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at the rally outside the press club, general secretary of the JI, Sindh, Rashid Nasim, said that before Sept 11, the successive rulers of Pakistan had described Kashmir as the core issue but now the rulers had changed their stance on the pretext that interests of Pakistan came first.

He said in the case of Afghanistan also the rulers had taken refuge behind the interests of the country, claiming that by collaborating with America, Pakistan would become prosperous.

He said that the government had sold out the Kashmir cause on just one telephone call from the USA president and added that after Kashmir issue the nuclear programme was also in grave danger.

Nasim said that Pakistan was standing all alone in the world community and even the Muslim countries were not prepared to raise their voice in its support.

He held the Pakistani rulers responsible for the massacre of Muslims in Afghanistan and Kashmir.

He said that even the domestic policy of the government had failed as the overwhelming majority of the people and the political parties were against it.

The rally adopted several resolutions, condemning ban on the seminaries and Jihadi organizations and arrest of religious leaders. The rally also demanded of President Gen Pervez Musha-rraf to use force for the liberation of Kashmir and to launch a campaign to internationalize the Kashmir issue.
