BIRMINGHAM (England), July 6: Australian fast bowler Damien Fleming will play for English county Warwickshire for a spell in September as cover for their South African all-rounder Shaun Pollock.

Fleming will stand in as Warwickshire’s overseas player while Pollock leads his country in the ICC Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka from September 12 to 30, the county said on its official website.

Fleming has played in 20 tests and 88 one-day internationals for Australia.

Pollock will also be absent between August 8 and 25 while he plays for South Africa in a tri-nations one-day competition in Morocco which also involves Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
