HYDERABAD, July 6: A 30-year-old man, Mohammed Ali Ansari, was stabbed to death, allegedly by his in-laws, in Chotki Ghitti area here on Saturday.

Mohammed Umer Ansari, father of the deceased, told City police that four persons, three of them in-laws of his son, struck at his residence, grabbed Moham-med Ali and one of them, Sajid Ali Ansari, stabbed him to death.

He identified two of the accomplices as Sharif Ansari and Shabbir Ansari and said that the fourth one was unknown to him.

The complainant said that the deceased had divorced his wife on Thursday last after a series of domestic feuds.

Panic gripped the area following the murder and shopkeepers pulled down shutters.

Police have started a hunt for the accused.

ARRESTED: The Hyderabad district police (investigation), during raids at various places, arrested six persons allegedly in the gang-rape of a scheduled caste girl in Husri.

The police are conducting raids to arrest the main accused, Yamin, a landlord.
