KARACHI, July 4: As many as 300 illegal electricity connections have been removed from the staff town of Karachi University.

This was announced by the spokesman of the university on Thursday.

He said this would help save the university Rs1.6 million annually.

The spokesman said as a result of various administrative measures taken by the vice chancellor, Prof Dr Zafar Saeed Saifi, it was expected that there would be a reduction of Rs4.9 million in the electricity bills of the institution which would be now only four million.
