Ex-MPA Nawaz Kalyar dies

FAISALABAD, July 1: Former MPA Haji Nawaz Kalyar died after protracted illness in Jaranwala on Sunday night.

He was buried in a local graveyard in the presence of hundreds of people belonging to all walks of life.

Qul will be held at his residence at 10am on Tuesday.

MURDER: A labourer was gunned down by dacoits in Siraj locality in Samundri on Sunday night.

Masked bandits sneaked into the house of Aslam when he was sleeping along with his family in the courtyard. The family woke up to the noise of the looters. Aslam put up resistance but one of the bandits opened fire on him killing him on the spot.
