KARACHI: Adequate funds for city projects to be allocated


KARACHI, June 23: The City government will earmark a handsome amount for development works and projects in the city, said Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Sunday.

He was inaugurating a road in UC-11, Abbasi Shaheed, Liaquatabad Town, being constructed under the Khushhal Pakistan Project (KPP) at a cost of Rs3.5 million.

The City Nazim said the City Government had spent Rs1 billion for the construction or improvement of roads in the city.

He lauded the efforts of Town and UC Nazims.

Dr Pervez Mehmood, Nazim of Liaquatabad Town, in his speech said his Town would be transformed into a model town by justified expenditures.

The City Nazim later also inaugurated the new office for registration of births, deaths and the Conciliatory Committee. All the Nazims and TMO Ishrat Ali Siddiqui were present on the occasion.—APP
