HYDERABAD, June 18: The District Co-ordination officer of Hyderabad, Mir Hussain Ali, has assured the Nazim of Hyderabad city, Haji Moinuddin Shaikh, that the development schemes recommended by him would be included in the next tender on a priority basis.

He said this during an exhaustive tour of various localities of the city, including Effendi Town, Ilyasabad, vegetable and fruit market, Mir Nabi Bux Town, Maternity Home of Paretabad, main Market Road to Sakhi Pir, and other areas.

Besides the city Nazim, Naib Nazim Abdul Qadeer Naghar and Nazims and Naib Nazims of various union councils of the city also accompanied the DCO.

The city Nazim informed the DCO that these were important roads and needed to be included in the development schemes.

The DCO appreciated the action of the city Nazim for the removal of encroachments on the nullah of the Maternity Home of Paretabad area which had created enormous difficulties for the people over the years.

CITY NAZIM: Taking notice of the non-cooperative attitude of the transporters in respect of parking fee and ban on entry of heavy traffic into the city during rush hours, Hyderabad City Nazim Haji Moinuddin Shaikh has directed the town officer, regulation, to take up the matters with the traffic police officers.

He pointed out that entry of heavy traffic had been banned in the city from 10am to 5pm.

He urged the traffic in charge and concerned police officers not to create difficulties for the general public and enforce the ban in letter and spirit.

DETECTION BILLS: The office-bearers of the Anjuman Tajiran-i- Sindh, Zakir Bin Zahid, Saleem Hussain Vohra and others have reacted against the issuance of electricity detection bills by Hesco.

In a joint statement issued here on Monday, they said that following the installation of meters at the places chosen by Hesco, issuance of detection bills was a tyranny.

They said that people had heaved a sigh of relief after the posting of Brig Tariq Arshad as the chief executive of Hesco but it appeared that he too was being provided wrong information by Hesco bureaucracy which had created a gulf between him and the consumers.

They demanded of Hesco chief to withdraw the detection bills.
