Two students struck by lightning

ABBOTTABAD, June 17: Three people died in two different incidents in Galyat, including two students who were struck by lightening, late on Saturday.

At village Kerry Raieky, near Kala Bagh, two students became victim of lightening who were identified as Idrees, son of Wali-ur-Rehman, and Sarfraz, son of Saleem.

In the second incident, Gohar Rehman, resident of village Nanna Kara, died after falling from a tree. He had clambered up the tree to cut bushes to clear the track for Wapda power supply.

WATER SHORTAGE: Acute water shortage has been reported in Abbottabad city, with the situation worsening by the day. The main water supply line is reported to have burst at different points, which the municipal staff is busy repairing.

Areas which have been badly hit include Kehal, Kunj, main city, Karim Pura.
