QUETTA, June 16: Iranian border guards on Sunday arrested 36 Pakistanis who crossed into Iran illegally.

“The Pakistanis crossed Iranian border without legal travelling documents,” an immigration officer said confirming their arrest inside Iran.

Sources said the 36 persons used untraditional route for entering Iran on their way to Turkey and Dubai in search of employment.

The Iranian authorities handed over the illegal travellers to Pakistani officials in the evening.

The security agencies arrested them for investigation.

Iranian border guards had also arrested 48 Pakistanis last week.
