KARACHI, June 16: The Baloch Rabita-Ittefaq Tehrik has urged the government to immediately withdraw Frontier Constabulary personnel from Dera Bugti and stop the ongoing search operation in the area.

Talking to Dawn on Saturday, the BRIT chief, Prince Mohyuddin Baloch, a former federal communication and commerce minister in the Zia-Junejo regime, said that he had a telephonic conversation with Nawab Akbar Bugti on the current situation in the area.

The BRIT chief condemned the search operation and dismissed the government’s claim that the operation was directed against those who were attacking gas pipelines.
