DERA ISMAIL KHAN, June 13: Lawyers of D.I.Khan staged a sit-in in front of the office of SSP against the attitude of a DSP with a member of the District Bar.

They said on last Wednesday, Tahir Wasim Diyal, an advocate, called on DSP Atiqullah Wazir in his office for some personal matter but during the meeting the DSP misbehaved with the advocate.

The matter was brought before the District Bar and a joint session of District and High Court bars, which called upon the authorities to take action. Since no action was taken by the deadline, the lawyers on Thursday staged a sit-in before in front of the SSP office.

A damage suit for Rs ten million against the DSP has already been instituted in the court of a senior civil judge Dera. At the close of office hours today, a jirga was constituted. It included session judge Dera, S. Afsar Ali Shah, Additional session judge, Subhan Sheikh, Chowdhry Sharif, Ali Jan  advocate-general secretary Dera Bar and SSP Dera, Arif Nawaz.
