KARACHI, June 13: The dispute between the officials of the KWSB and the elected representatives of Chanesar Goth was settled as both the parties agreed to work in coordination to ensure proper water supply to the area.
MD KWSB, Brig Behram Khan, had issued special directives to chief engineer Khalid Malik, who held a meeting at his office between SE trunk main Najam Sidiqui and Naib Nazim UC Chenaser Goth, Aurangzeb, after they exchanged hot words over the insufficient water supply to the area.
Nazim Jamshed Town, Ahmed Parekh, and a number of other elected representatives and high officials of the KWSB were also present on the occasion. it was decided that the staff and officers concerned of the KWSB (water) would work in cooperation with the elected representatives of the town and Chenasar Goth to improve the water supply.
The meeting decided to plug all leakages on priority basis and sever illegally obtained connections in combined operations.—PPI
