Sinatra’s songs now on CD

Published June 14, 2002

LOS ANGELES, June 13: Four years after his death, Frank Sinatra fans can now hear such classics as “My Kind of Town,” “The Lady is a Tramp” and “Night and Day” the way Ol’ Blue Eyes sang them in the movies.

Warner Music Group’s Reprise and Turner Classic Movies Music labels have jointly released a six-CD boxed set, titled “Sinatra in Hollywood (1940-1964)”, a collection of the entertainer’s performances from his big-screen career.

Most of the material contained in the 160 tracks, culled from the sound archives of several major film studios and digitally remastered, has never been released before on disc.—Reuters
