NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 11: On the call of the Citizens Action Committee and the Shopkeepers Association, the residents of Mehrabpur staged a protest rally against inflated and detection bills of electricity.

The protesters complained that the detection bills issued by the Hesco were unjustified.

They demanded of the Hesco authorities to withdraw excess bills in a week. In case of failure, they threatened to stage a sit-in and observe a token hunger strike.

KILLED: Three men killed Aslam Dahri, 20, in Masurji Wah village on Monday night over a dispute regarding a girl.

The accused Ghulam Rasool, Siddiq and Mumtaz Dahri shot Aslam dead.

The Darya Khan Mari police have lodged a case and arrested an accused Siddiq Dahri.

SUICIDE: A girl, Sughra Ujjan, committed suicide by taking pesticide in Korio Ujjan village on Monday due to domestic problems.

Bikes snatched: Three motorcycles were snatched in three different incidents in the district on Sunday.

Three armed men snatched a motorcycle from a man, Ali Gul Mari, while he was going to the Kamil Rajpar village from Darya Khan Mari.

In another incident, three unidentified armed men snatched a motorcycle from Haji Khan Solangi.

In the third incident, two men snatched a motorcycle from Abdul Khaliq Solangi while he was going to Bhirya Road from the Wadal Keerio village.

BODY FOUND: The body of an unidentified man, aged about 65, was found behind the basic health centre, Halani, on Sunday.
