Partial strike observed in civil hospital
DADU, June 3: A partial strike was observed by the paramedical staff at the Civil Hospital for the second consecutive day on Monday to protest against the arrest of four employees in a theft case at the Civil Hospital Dadu.
The paramedical staff of the Civil Hospital boycotted the wards, but this was partially observed. They were protesting against the arrest of four employees of the hospital — Syed Noor Nabi Shah, Zahid Gurmani, Ghulam Rasool Khokhar, and Urs Bhand — who had been arrested in the theft cases of three ECG machines, two patient monitors, a TO monitor, a mobile ultrasound machine, and other equipment at the hospital.
The leaders of the Paramedical Staff Association, Dadu, while talking to newsmen said that some senior officials of the hospital were responsible for the theft of the equipment but police had arrested the lower staff of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Dadu town police on the complaint of chief resident medical officer of the Civil Hospital, Dr Dost M. Bughio, registered an FIR on Monday under section 457, 580 PPC, and 14 HO against unidentified thieves.
KIDNAPPED: A woman and her son were kidnapped by five armed Khaskheli tribesmen over an enmity in the Pir Bux Lashari village, Johi Taluka, on Monday.
The five Khaskhelis barged into the house of Ramzan Khaskheli and kidnapped his wife, Shama (30), and son, Gulzar (5).
The Wahi Pandhi police have registered an FIR under section 11/16 of the ZHO against Mako, Kaloo, Koro Khaskheli, and two others.
ACCIDENT: Sixteen people were injured in an accident when their pickup was hit from behind by another vehicle at the Bhand village on the Indus Highway, some 3 kms away from here, on late Sunday night.
The pickup (KG-9586) was headed towards the Punhal Khan village, Sakrand Taluka, from the Sehwan town. It was hit by another vehicle from behind as a result of which it fell into a ditch injuring 16 passengers.
All the injured were admitted to the Civil Hospital Dadu.
