Relief goods given for displaced Kashmiris

MUZAFFARABAD, May 30: The AJK Red Crescent Society on Wednesday provided relief goods to the district administration for 15 families displaced in Neelum valley due to Indian shelling.

A function held at the press club in this regard was attended by AJK Religious Affairs Minister Sahibzada Hafiz Hamid Raza, People’s Party AJK leader Shoukat Javed Mir, Board of Revenue Senior Member Sheikh Hafeezur Rehman, Rehabilitation Commissioner Khwaja Sadiq Dar and others.

The function was told that thousands of people had been forced to flee their homes and take shelter in safer areas.

AJKRCS Secretary Engr Syed Sarfraz Shah and Vice-Chairperson Amira Batool handed over the relief goods, including tents, blankets, utensil sets and clothes, to Muzaffarabad Deputy Commissioner Dr Mahmoodul Hassan Raja.
