KARACHI, May 29: The Customs Drug Enforcement Cell on Wednesday arrested a Nigerian national at the airport following recovery of 3kgs of heroin from his possession.

An official of Customs said a Nigerian national, Michael Emeka Nwala, reported to the customs counter prior to boarding a Gulf Airlines flight for Lagos via Bahrain and Beirut. A thorough search of his baggage led to recovery of three kgs of heroin powder, artfully concealed in lower compartment of a locally assembled Hi-Fi stereo deck system.

Following the recovery of contraband heroin, Nigerian drug trafficker was arrested and a case under Control of Narcotics Substances Act 1997, registered against him.
