Agha Abbas was the owner of the city’s oldest juice shop.

A senior police officer of Liaquatabad Town said: “The killing appears to be sectarian motivated. However, other aspects would be investigated only after which can a final opinion be formed.”

The Quaidabad police registered on Saturday a case against unknown assailants pertaining to firing on a religious procession on Friday night, in which one man was killed and four others were injured.

Police said the Sunni Tehrik took out a procession on the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in Majeed Colony, Quaidabad. Unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on the procession and escaped.
