ISLAMABAD, May 19: Russia has urged India and Pakistan to observe restraint and reduce tension in the region.
Russian foreign ministry spokesman in Moscow asked the two countries not to resort to military action, said PTV.
He said a war would affect the security of the region as well as that of the neighbouring countries.
TEHRAN: Pakistan’s stand that Pakistan and India should resolve all outstanding issues including Kashmir dispute through peaceful means and negotiations.
First Deputy President of Iran Muhammad Arif Raza in a meeting with Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz here said the use of military means is not right for resolution of disputes.
He said Iran is concerned over the tense relations between Pakistan and India.
BANGLADESH: Dhaka has urged India and Pakistan to stop exchange of border fire and resume dialogue to ensure stability in South Asia.
It also said that “any escalation of tension could have a serious destabilising effect for the whole South Asian region.”
KUWAIT: Kuwait has called on India and Pakistan to show restraint, warning of the “dangerous consequences” of escalating tension between the two countries that could threaten the stability of South Asia.
In a statement released after its weekly meeting, the cabinet called on India and Pakistan to “exercise self-restraint and to solve their disputes by peaceful means and negotiations.”
The cabinet expressed its “deep worry” over “developments resulting from the military escalation” between New Delhi and Islamabad.”
