ISLAMABAD, May 18: A bomb hoax sparked panic at the multi-storey State Life building here on Saturday afternoon.

According to police sources, an anonymous caller phoned at around 1:30pm, saying that a bomb had been planted in the building.

The city police, bomb disposal squad, fire brigade and ambulances rushed to the place and got the building evacuated.

The workers had to wait outside in scorching heat while the building was searched for a bomb.

However, there was no bomb to be found.

The police are trying to track down the caller with the help of PTCL and experts.—APP
