2 die in rocket attacks

QUETTA, May 17: Several rockets landed and exploded in Kohlu township, on Friday some 500kms from here, seriously injuring two Marri tribesmen, officials sources said.

“At least eight rocket were fired by unknown people on Kohlu township in the wee hours of Friday,” a senior officer of the Kohlu administration confirmed adding that of which exploded in a house killing a donkey and seriously injuring two persons. Seven exploded in uninhabited area.

The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital.

According to sources one rocket hit the main transmission line to Kohlu and suspended power to the entire area.

Sources said the culprits wanted to target Frontier Corps posts. Rocket attacks have become a routine in Kohlu area.

There have been many incident of land mine blast too claiming over a dozen lives in the last 18 months.
