DADU, May 10: Police seized 12 kgs of charas from a Karachi-bound passenger coach, and two drug pushers were arrested near Jamshoro on Friday.

On a tip-off, Akro police checked a Karachi-bound passenger coach and arrested Muhammad Ali Pathan and Qadim Islam Pathan, resident of Peshawar, who were carrying around 12 kgs of charas.

A case has been registered against the accused.

ARRESTED: Khairpur Nathan Shah police on Friday raided village Hasal Khoso and arrested Farooq Ali, an absconder.

Police also seized one shotgun and four cartridges from his possession.

SUICIDE: Mushtaq Ali committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope over some domestic dispute in Sita Road town on Friday.

MERCURY SOARS: The towns of Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Sita, Phulji, Johi, Dadu, Sehwan, and Bhan Saeedabad experienced a hot day on Friday as mercury touched 49 degree Celsius.

Around 50 people were hit by sun-stroke and were moved to hospitals. Bazars and streets of Dadu town wore a deserted look.
