HYDERABAD, May 2: A central leader of the Communist Party of Pakistan, (CPP), Comrade Imdad Kazi, has congratulated the people of Pakistan for boycotting the presidential referendum.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that the people of Pakistan had never accepted a military government.

Mr Kazi said that the national and international media had exposed the claim of the military government that 98 per cent votes were cast in favour of Musharraf.

He called upon democratic and progressive forces to launch a struggle for sending the army back to the barracks otherwise the result of the general elections would also be the same.
